Foundations promises the session will provide a rich learning experience for occupational therapists, trusted assessors, operational managers, adaptations team managers, and commissioners. The initiative, a collaboration between RCOT, Foundations, with sponsorship from Closomat, represents a step forward in integrating housing as a fundamental determinant of health within occupational therapy practices, says Foundations.
The session will take place from 2pm, with guest speakers including Paul Smith from Foundations providing a brief update on the latest sector developments.
Rachel Russell, Foundations: Presenting an in-depth exploration of ‘What is Housing Without Delay,’ providing insights into how this initiative aims to reshape the landscape of occupational therapy by seizing the opportunity to actively shape the importance of housing in overall health and wellbeing.
Dr Jo Watson, presenting one of the key elements of the project, a Strategic Toolkit, Shane Elliott and Jill Pritchard with ‘Four Nation Perspectives’, and Lauren Walker from the Royal College of Occupational Therapists will present ‘Moving towards a prevention-focused model’.
